Member Event with Julian Leighton, Orange Bus

An extraordinary journey led Julian to the point where he met and co-founded Orange Bus, a digital solutions agency, with business partner Mike Parker.

Following university, he embarked on a winding career path including becoming a music promoter and meat trader, before six years in the world of IBM ultimately led him to an MSc in Business Information Systems and a meeting with Mike.

Named after his beloved VW camper van, Orange Bus now has over 100 employees on board across three sites in Newcastle, Edinburgh and London. Offering digital strategies, software and experiences that solve business challenges for international brands and UK Government, the company has recently been acquired by Capita, a previous client.

Becoming part of Capita is the next step for the team, giving them the capital and opportunity to fast-track ambitious growth plans, whilst allowing the possibility of offering a broader range of services and products to clients.
