MIND: Managing Mental Health at Work

18 October 2018, 09:00 - 11:00

The Northern Design Centre, Baltic Business Quarter, Gateshead NE8 3DF

Poor mental health is now the number one reason for staff absence and so we’re working with Tyneside and Northumberland MIND to give you an introduction to mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Tyneside and Northumberland MIND will be joining us to share understanding of common mental health problems so that you feel more self-assured in noticing them and starting conversations in your organisation and at home.

Places are limited, but if you can join us you will find out ways to recognise when a staff member is struggling and what you, your organisation, and external organisations can do to support them.

By improving your knowledge of mental health at work you will be better equipped to improve mental health awareness across your organisation.

The session explores mental health in the workplace, common mental health problems and tips to help you and your organisation support the mental health of all staff. This event is suitable for anyone who manages staff or has responsibility for workplace wellbeing.
