How does thinking differently shape the way we lead and build a business?
This is a round table for entrepreneurs who think differently and are curious to learn more about how their minds work.
Whether you’re quietly wondering if you might be neurodivergent, have a diagnosis, or just know your mind doesn’t operate the way the leadership books say it should, this conversation is designed for you.
Every entrepreneur thinks, works, and leads in their own way. Some thrive in uncertainty, spot patterns fast, move at pace, and see opportunities others miss. Some find focus, structure, communication, or managing energy and pressure more challenging than people assume they should. Very often, it’s the same wiring that drives both the strength and the struggle.
Hosted by workplace neurodiversity specialist Nikki Masterman and Forum member Charlotte Nichols, both late-recognised neurodivergent, this will be an open, honest, and confidential conversation shaped by the experience and perspectives of the people in the room.
Not a clinical session, or about diagnosis, we will uncover why knowing yourself matters so much in work and in life. We’ll dive into how understanding the way your brain works can change things far beyond your business, impacting how you manage your energy, relationships, confidence, and sense of self. And how, when you stop forcing yourself into someone else's idea of how a leader should think, you free up a huge amount of strength.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, this is a private discussion in a room full of people who get it. There will be no judgement, no jargon, and no pressure to have everything figured out. Simply join us for an honest conversation between like-minded entrepreneurs who understand what it takes to lead a business with a mind that works a little differently.
The Conversation
In a room full of people who get it, we’ll explore questions including:
• How can the way you think become a genuine strength in business?
• Why do those same traits sometimes create challenges, and what actually helps?
• How do overlapping traits create opposing and clashing challenges to navigate?
• How can understanding yourself help you lead in your own way, rather than copying a leadership model that was never built for you?
• What does it look like to meet your own needs, with or without a diagnosis?
• What can we learn from each other that no leadership book has ever taught us?
What You’ll Take Away
You’ll leave knowing that you are in good company. That many successful entrepreneurs share the same wiring, and it can be a real strength. This conversation will offer space to reflect on your own leadership style, recognise where thinking differently gives you an edge, and consider practical strategies for working with, rather than against, yourself.
It will also help signpost ways to better understand your own needs, reduce the risk of burnout, and build confidence in leading in a way that fits how you are actually wired. Most of all, it will give you the chance to talk openly about an important part of modern leadership with people who understand the realities of building a business while thinking differently.
The Small Print
Our round tables are shaped by the insights and experiences of attendees, so while we aim to cover the topics above, we may also dive into other related areas during the session.
Due to limited capacity round table discussions are exclusively for entrepreneur members only. Guests or substitutions are not allowed.
Please be aware that your name, job title and company may be shared with our Forum partners and event attendees for event‑related purposes. Should you wish to remove yourself from any delegate lists please let us know.
